FREE BROWSER TOOL
AI image metadata inspector
Read what your original PNG actually contains: prompts, settings and workflows. Nothing is inferred from the image.
- Data never uploads to a server
- Free, no sign-up, no watermark
- Runs offline after loading
Choose a PNG to see its saved information. Missing fields are never guessed.
Raw PNG text fields
Read the saved recipe, not the image
- Choose the original PNG exported by your image tool. Screenshots and social downloads often lose metadata.
- Check prompts and parameters with their source field or node. Custom nodes and unknown fields remain in the raw text.
- Copy fields, export all metadata, or download a valid saved workflow. Save a cleaned PNG copy before sharing if needed.
Frequently asked questions
Can it recover a missing prompt?
No. It reads existing PNG text fields only. It does not call a generation model or classify an image as AI-made. Screenshots and re-saved or shared files may have lost the data. Missing metadata is explicitly reported.
Which metadata is supported?
PNG tEXt, zTXt and iTXt chunks, including Stable Diffusion/A1111 parameters, ComfyUI prompt and workflow, and some NovelAI Comment fields. Other text remains available in the raw fields. Custom nodes may not produce a readable summary.
Does cleaning change the image?
A new copy removes text, EXIF, time and other nonessential ancillary chunks without re-encoding compressed pixels. Transparency, necessary color profiles and animation chunks are kept. The original is unchanged. Pixel steganography and visible watermarks are not removed, and anonymity is not guaranteed.
Can I import the workflow into ComfyUI?
A separate download appears only for valid workflow JSON with a nodes array. An API prompt graph is not relabeled as a workflow. Export all metadata to inspect any other saved fields.
Are files uploaded, and what are the limits?
Files stay in your browser. Process one PNG up to 40MB, with at most 4MB per decompressed text field and 8MB total text. Corrupt files are rejected, unreadable fields are flagged, and older browsers may not decode compressed text.
