Upload one image and pick a grid — tiles appear here.

How to split an image into a grid

  1. Upload one image. The tool center-crops it to the grid's aspect — a square for 3×3.
  2. Pick a layout. 3×3 for the classic Instagram grid, 3×1 for a panorama row, 2×2 or 4×4 for denser mosaics.
  3. Download. Grab single tiles or the whole set as ZIP, numbered in reading order.
  4. Post. On Instagram upload the tiles in reverse order (9→1) so your profile grid reads correctly.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split an image into a 3×3 grid?

Upload your image and pick 3×3 — the tool center-crops it square and cuts nine equal tiles. Download them individually or as one ZIP.

What order should I post the tiles?

Files are numbered 1–9 in reading order (left to right, top to bottom). For Instagram, post 9→1 so your profile grid displays correctly.

Can I avoid cropping the edges?

Splitting center-crops to the grid aspect. To keep the whole picture, pad it to a square with the image padding tool first.

Does it split panoramas?

Yes — 3×1 and 1×3 modes cut a wide or tall image into three equal strips.

Are images uploaded?

No — splitting happens entirely in your browser.
