Frequently asked questions
Where do I paste these prompts in Suno?
Open Custom mode and paste the whole string into the “Style of Music” field — keep it under Suno’s character limit by trimming adjectives if needed. Write or generate lyrics separately; these strings describe sound, not words.
Do these style prompts work in Udio too?
Yes. Udio reads the same kind of style description — genre, instrumentation, mood and tempo — but it ignores Suno-specific version tags. Paste the string as a style prompt, and keep “BPM:” and “Key:” since both models use them as loose guidance.
What do the BPM and Key tags actually control?
They nudge tempo and tonality — “BPM: 128, Key: C minor” pushes the model toward a 128-beat-per-minute track in C minor. Neither model treats them as hard constraints, so state the feel twice when it matters (e.g. “fast, 160 BPM”).
Are the cover images outputs of the music prompts?
No — audio models do not produce artwork. Each card pairs the style prompt with an AI-generated image that matches the genre’s visual language, credited to its image author. Treat it as cover-art direction, not a verified result.
